Embracing 15 acres in a peaceful, private valley set high on the unspoilt northwestern coast of Mallorca, S’Olivar is an ancient farm and country estate that offers spectacular ocean and mountain vistas and accommodations with a unique and intimate charm– an ideal hideaway for a short holiday or a longer stay.
Awash with natural beauty, the finca is perched on age-old stone terraces planted with gnarled olive trees and fig and almond groves. Woods of oak and pine trees forest its upper slope. Nestled in this tranquil retreat are the lodgings: two cozy cottages and two larger houses. As the finca remains a partially working farm – guests can savor its olives, carefully picked and bottled, or its tasty fig and apricot jams – S’Olivar officially became an agroturismo in 2006.
The property, itself a valley, is tucked within the larger valley of Estellencs, an exceptionally beautiful, environmentally-protected corner of the Serra de Tramuntana on the shores of the Mediterranean and at the foot of the majestic Galatzó Peak. S’Olivar is within walking distance (400 m) of the village of Estellencs, with its several restaurants and distinct Mallorcan feel. Downhill, through the winding, cobble-stoned streets of the village and past citrus groves lies the pebbled cove where clear waters beckon to a great swim many months of the year.
S’Olivar is unique in another way, too. Not just a rural hotel, it houses the headquarters of Fundación S’Olivar. For decades, this small private non-profit foundation committed to preserving the environment and safeguarding spiritual values has been fostering peace and solidarity among nations.
S’Olivar makes for a magical stay all year round. Guests can delight in the gorgeous infinity pool and proximity to the sea, explore the hiking trails and neighboring sites, or just relax on the spacious grounds and enjoy the rustic charm of its cottages and houses with their landscape views, glass-front woodstoves and self-catering facilities.
Clients have free and unlimited Wifi internet access in- and outdoors, or can use the PC in the library.
